My parents started squaredancing in 1980, at that time there was almost no clubs in Sweden. It wasn´t until 1986 that I was persuaded to start beginnerclass and I have not looked back after that. My calling career started in October 1987. I thought how hard can it be, but there are so much that you have to learn to be a caller.
A few of the festivals where I have called:
- World Square Dance Convention 1990, 1991, 1993 & 1994
- European Squaredance Convention 2018
- Swedish National Convention 2002, 2005 & 2018
- Swedish National Challenge Convention 2000-2019
- IPAC 2007, 2009 & 2019
- Bödabaden Resort, Sweden
- Tranum Resort, Denmark
- Weekends in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany and England
I call regular all levels from Basic to C3B. When I´m not calling I enjoy dancing all levels of squaredance with my wife Carina.
Callerlab rewarded me with a Special Recognition Award for outstanding contributions to the Square Dance activity in 2017, for my caller program SqView.
My day job is project leader at Volvo Cars, where I have been working for 36 years. I have 3 children and one grandchild that I try to make time for between all the squaredancing.
